"This is a great side dish for the holidays. Grandma always served this with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Goes well with turkey and dressing."
Ingredients :
- 1 (20 ounce) can white hominy
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno pepper, or to taste
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon butter, or to taste
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions :

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine hominy, garlic, and jalapeno in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until hominy is tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Strain out liquid and pour hominy mixture into baking dish. Stir sour cream and butter into hominy mixture; top with Cheddar cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese melts, about 25 minutes.
