Twisted Colada Protein Smoothie

"This is a great tropical healthy smoothie that fills you up and can even be a meal replacement beverage. I love it. For thicker smoothie, add less milk."

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 8 almonds
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup sliced frozen banana
  • 1 cup coconut milk beverage (such as Silk®)
  • 2 fresh pineapple spears
  • 2 tablespoons protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar

Instructions :

  • Blend coconut, almonds, flax seeds, and chia seeds together in a blender or food processor until slightly smooth. Add banana, coconut milk beverage, pineapple, protein powder, and agave nectar; blend until smooth.

Notes :

  • Sweetened or unsweetened shredded coconut can be used.
  • Honey can be substituted for agave nectar.
  • Unsweetened or vanilla-flavored coconut milk beverage can be used.
