2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 drops red food coloring

Instructions :

Mix ingredients in the order given. Divide dough and add enough red food coloring for desired shades of pink or red.
Refrigerate dough for 40 to 60 minutes.
